Scholarship Fund

The Michael Matteoli Memorial Scholarship was created to honor Michael’s memory and give back to the agricultural community that has been a part of our family’s legacy for generations.

Michael was a proud farmer with an unmatched work ethic. He was determined to take on any task on the ranch, no matter how big or small and never hesitated to work from sunup to sundown. Intelligent, extremely mechanical, and dependable, Michael was someone everyone relied on. He found true joy being on the ranch, especially during his favorite time of year: rice harvest, which he looked forward to annually.

In 2018, Michael’s life was tragically cut short in a farming-related accident. While we miss him tremendously, we are committed to ensuring his spirit, values, and love for agriculture are never forgotten. This scholarship is our way of honoring Michael’s life while supporting the next generation of students who share his dedication, perseverance, and connection to the agricultural community.

The Michael Matteoli Memorial Scholarship is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that awards scholarships to local graduating seniors pursuing higher education, trade school, or vocational training. Through the generosity of our donors, sponsors, and annual fundraising events, we are proud to invest in students’ futures while continuing Michael’s legacy of hard work, service, and community.
