Michael Matteoli
Michael Anthony Matteoli was tragically killed in a farming related accident Sept. 26, 2018 in Meridian, CA.
He was born in Woodland, Feb. 9, 1992 to Jon and Margaret Matteoli and resided in Yuba City. Michael was a 2010 Pioneer High School graduate. Michael participated in track and field, football, baseball, motocross and FFA. He was a member of NCDD, CWA, and Chesapeake Gun Club.
Michael was a proud farmer. He was determined to take on any task on the ranch no matter how big or small. He loved being on the ranch and would work from sun up to sun down without hesitation. He was intelligent, extremely mechanical, and one all relied on. He enjoyed hunting with his brother or with family and friends, building and driving derby trucks, fishing and many outdoor activities. He loved animals, his dog Ollie, and has been known to even save a turtle or two crossing the road. Michael lived his life with a smile, a witty sense of humor, a heart of gold, and he was kind to all he met. He was wise beyond his years and had a soul genuinely deep. He loved life, his family, and his friends.
Michael leaves behind the love of his life Lily Kett; parents, Jon and Margaret Matteoli; siblings, Jon Leo Matteoli Jr. , Jennifer Matteoli; aunts, Jessica (Wally) Foster, Julie Farnham, Lisa Matteoli; uncle, Lance Matteoli (Jennifer) Matteoli; cousins, Matt (Elissa) Farnham, Walter (Krista) Foster, Megan and Mario Matteoli; nephew, Jon Leo Matteoli III, and niece, Emma Matteoli. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roger and Beverley Matteoli, Carol Hedington and Kenneth Hedington.
